Anton Rodgers, the footballer son of Liverpool FC manager, Brendan Rodgers is now being prosecuted alongside his three other accomplices in a gang sexual assault on a 19 year old girl at Jurys Inn Hotel in Brighton.
The incident happened about six months ago when the girl was under the influence of alcohol and the suspects who were celebrating their cup win in a night out met her and engaged themselves in sexual assault against her wishes, the prosecuting jury, Richard Barton stated. Anton Rodgers 19, alongside his fellow Brighton player Lewis Dunk 21, hove albion players, George Barker 21 and Bournemon player, Steve cook all appeared at the Liverpool court for the trial. Although the girl saw her pictures in Rodgers phone the following morning as she borrowed his phone to call her sister, she did not report the incident for fear of repercussion. Nevertheless, when another footballer from the same club hinted on posting the pictures on Youtube, the girl rushed and reported the incident. The trial continues as the suspects have denied the charges.
