The £3000 visa bond which the Home Office of united kingdom placed on the select common wealth countries will be coming into effect as from November this year. This will affect visitors from Nigeria, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Kenya hope of spending up to six months will have to cough out the stated amount. The announcement which was made public in June this year attracted so much criticism from the affected countries. While there was a protest in India against the foreign policy, Nigerian government asked UK government to retrace their steps and reverse the policy. Nevertheless, the UK Home Office has stood their ground hoping to kick off with the new Policy come November 2013. These common wealth countries have been considered by government of United Kingdom as high risk regions. Originally, visitors from common wealth countries entered UK without visa but today, everything has changed.
