DEJI BADEMOSI QUITS CHANNELS TELEVISION

Deji Bademosi
The popular presenter with  Channels Television Deji Bademosi has resigned his appointment with the television station over an irreconcilable difference he had with the Chairman John Momoh.  Deji who is a graduate of Mass communication from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka was until his resignation the head of the political desk.  He also headed the team of Channels's reporters. The renowned broadcaster who gave live and detailed proceedings of the past elections dropped his resignation letter following a development he could not subject  himself to. Although he did not personally explain his reason for quitting his job, a source claimed that the Chairman and the management lately decided that any report to be aired must get approval from the Chairman who will determine the suitability of the news for broadcasting. But Deji on his own believes that reporters should have some air of freedom in their profession in order to put in their best. According to the source, the last incident that ended his career at Channels television was when Deji assigned a reporter to cover People's Democratic Party (PDP) press conference in Ogun state led by Bayo Dayo faction of the party. Bayo Dayo is in opposition to Obansanjo-led faction. At the end, the Chairman John Momoh requested for the tape of the event which Deji declined to release.
The award winning reporter who won several awards to his person and to the station concluded that people should have some elements of respect even as an employee; he then decided to resign.
