HIV/AIDS section of Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Idi-Araba was at about 18:40 hours yesterday completely razed down by fire. A source claimed that the fire must have been caused by an electric spark. It was reported that Lagos state fire service first came to the scene without water and watched the section as fire raged. However, intervention by officials of NEMA helped to quench the fire but some valuables have been lost to the inferno. Some of them may include among others: Laptops, Air conditioners, patients' documents.
