Armed kidnappers have kidnapped the mother of Nigerian finance minister (Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala), professor Kamene Okonjo from their Palatial home in Ogwasi-Uku in Delta state, south south Nigeria. The 82 year old wife of Obi of Ogwasi-uku kingdom was whisked away around 1pm on Sunday by unidentified gunmen who had unfettered access into the palace because the policemen who were supposed to be on duty were said to no where to be found when the incident took place. The kidnappers numbering 8 stormed the place with 2 Audi 80 cars and took away the old woman. The police image maker for Delta state Charles Muoka confirmed the incident but added that they will not leave any stone stone unturned until they perpetrators are brought to book. The Governor of Delta state has instructed the security agencies to make sure the woman is rescued.
