Catholic Pope Benedict XVI will start tweeting on December 12, Vatican has revealed. But the Twitter account has been opened with twitter handle as @pontifex. It is a relatively new account but has already amassed 70,552 followers. Vatican has said that people can start sending in their tweets on 'Faith Matters' but response will resume on December 12, 2012. The tweets will be delivered in 8 different languages including French, German, Portuguese Arabic,Italian, Polish, Spanish, English. So, you Catholics can start interacting with your Pope directly.
