The Economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC) has released the son of the Jigawa state Governor (Sule Lamido) by name, Aminu Sule Lamido on administrative bail because of the absence of Judges to try him. There is Judges conference going on and this has prompted the EFCC to release him. Aminu Lamido was arrested by the EFCC yesterday when he wanted to board an Egyptian Airline to Cairo. He declared having only $10,000 with him when he was checked by the Nigerian Customs service but luck ran out on him when he was faced by the EFCC operatives who discovered extra $40,000 on him. He now claims that his mission to Egypt is on health ground. Even his father has organized a press conference to save him from money laundering. According to the father, one of his daughters was diagnosed with spinal cord injury and is receiving treatment in Cairo. That Aminu Lamido was going there to take care of him.
