Ivory coast international footballer and Manchester city striker Yaya Toure has been named African footballer of the year for the second consecutive time. He defeated Ivory Coast international and Shanghai Shenhua striker, Didier Drogba and Cameroonian international and FC Barcelona striker, Alex Song. While Yaya Toure came first, Didier Drogba came second while Alex song came third. The voting was done by head of coaches and technical directors of countries affiliated to Confederation of African Football (CAF)
