November 5 Biafra Declaration: Leader, Others remanded in Prison


Following the November 5 declaration of Republic of Biafra by the Biafra Zionist Movement, BZM, the leader of the splinter group. Benjamin Onwuka and over 500 others were arrested by the Police and remanded in prison custody for committing treason against the Nigerian state. Long before November 5 declaration, the splinter group stated that nothing will prevent them from going ahead with the declaration of Peoples Republic of Biafra come Novemeber 5.
Only Last week, the Leader of Biafra Zionist Movement Benjamin Onwuka was whisked away to the home of Leader of the MASSOB (Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra) Leader, Chief Ralph Uwazurike. Probably he was given strict warning to retrace his steps from the planned action. After the declaration at a football field at Mbanugo area of Coal Camp in Enugu state where the Leader declared himself the new President with Ministers coming  soon,  members of the group embarked on a peaceful rally towards Ogbete Main market. Nevertheless, the event took another twist as the US, Israel and Biafran-Flag carrying members were arrested by the policemen at Central Police station. The Police Superintendent   Ikechukwu Mba spear-headed the arrest.
