The amnesty programme which was the brain child of late president Umaru Musa Yar'adua is now yielding the desired result. The presidential amnesty office through Kingsley Kuku annouced this at an event that federal government has secured 30 ex- militants from Niger Delta welding jobs in Dubai. Some others have gotten jobs in south Africa, Ghana and Nigeria. He went on to say that just last week, refresher courses, business setup, coaching, mentoring and monitoring were conducted for about 3, 450 ex-militants in different vocational courses to prepare them for tasks ahead. Kuku noted that the new employer will henceforth pay the salaries of the ex militants.
