Lagos State shut more than 10 illegal Health Care Facilities


Lagos State Health Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) has closed about 15 illegal health care facilities across Lagos metropolis. Listed below are some of the health care facilities affected. They
claimed that these facilities were closed down for various offences.

1. Saff-Salam Maternity Home-           8, Onabola street Bariga
2.Gbayi Clinic and maternity Home-    57, AkinolaStreet, Bariga
3. Iya Deborah Maternity Hospital- Eleshin Ikorodu
4. St. Daniel Hospital-                        17, Igbeyin Adu street, Makoko
5. Oluwaseun King Maternity Centre- 24, Ogo Oluwa street, Bariga
6. Oluwadimimu Maternity Home-      3, Alhaji Davies street, Surulere
7. UDYP Hospital-                           62, Sanya street, Aguda, Surulere
8. Mt. Zion Maternity Centre-            3b, St. Daniel James street, off low cost housing estate, sabo Ikorodu
9. Above Medical Centre-                 121, Abaranja road, Ikotun-Alimosho 
10. The Saints Diagnostic Medical Centre, 235, Ikotun -Idimu road, Alimosho

The Commissioner frowned at the way health care providers train auxiliary assistants in their clinics thereby making the sector unprofessional.
