As the National Assembly resumes today after the expiration of their 8-week Recess, They are going to deliberate extensively on the Petroleum Industry Bill, Re-denomination of Naira, and 1999 Constitution review. Their recess started since July 20 and ended just yesterday. While the lower house is revisiting impeachment move, the red chambers are going to give PIB bill accelerated hearing, in addition to constitution review, naira re-denomination and 2013 budget proposal from Finance Ministry. Chairman senate committee and Rules and Business Eta Enang confirmed that the red chambers will not allow the PIB bill to suffer as did the first PIB bill which the 6th assembly neglected. Then as for the review of the 1999 constitution, senate is expected to continue public hearing across the six geopolitical zones to to get a common ground.
