Following severe apathy among Nigerians to handle coins, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) said they will enable Banks' ATMs to resume dispensing coins once N5, N10, N20 have been successfully converted into coins in the coming months. Head of shared services at CBN Chidi Umeano stated this on Monday in Lagos that the only thing they need is to facilitate the inclusion of the process ''add on'' all the ATMs. This will go a long way in imbibing into Nigerians the attitude of spending coins. In his statement, he said that coins dispensing ATMs will hasten acceptance of Coins among Nigerians and change misconception about their use.
