National Drug Law reinforcement Agency NDLEA has nabbed two drug couriers at Muritala Mohammed International Airport. Lagos as one of them wanted to board Ethiopian Airline to India. Joe Okwudiri Eboro 41, and Daniel Opara 30, were the latest victims of drug trafficking at the Airport. Okwudiri Eboro 41, was the one who was supposed to travel while Daniel was asked by 'Chief' to escort Okwudiri to the airport to prevent drug diversion. But luck ran out on them when NDLEA beamed their search light on them. It was discovered that Eboro was carrying about 4.3kg of Methamphetamine valued at about N68.5 million well packed in a brown bag with the hope of getting it delivered in India
Upon questioning, Eboro, a father of two and Lagos based petty trader lamented that he needed some money having spent so much money on his pregnant wife; he met 'Chief for financial assistance and Chief insisted only on one condition. The condition was for him to deliver a bag to India. He agreed; and chief paid for his ticket to and fro India in addition to $2000 cash given to him. He regretted his action and maintained that he has never involved himself in this illicit business before.

Opara on his own stated that he has never met Eboro in his life. He added that chief called and asked him to give Eboro one bag and accompany him to the airport and that's all.
The Chairman of NDLEA Alhaji Ahmadu Giade emphasized that his agency will continue to fish out drug dealers until the society is free from drug smugglers.
