Two Uk Immigration Officers in Lagos 'tried to Smuggle Nigerian Child, Rose to Uk for £300 a month Job

Two UK immigration officers, Natasha Vukic, 36 and her partner James Mooney denied immigration charge of trying to import Nigerian Teenage girl Rose into United Kingdom as house girl  with falsified Visa application documents. Their aim was for Rose to take care of their son in their location in south London. They claimed they have lived with Rose for one year and now decided to import her into UK for cheap labour of about £300 per month job. Rose was expected to work 11 hours a day and 5 days in  a week. The couple committed the offence in 2011 while working with UK border agency in Lagos Nigeria.

On trial: Immigration officer Natasha Vukic is accused of faking a visa application in an attempt to bring a Nigerian nanny to Britain to work as 'cheap labour' Accused: Ms Vukic's partner, James Mooney, who worked for the Foreign Office in Lagos, also denies assisting unlawful immigration

In the actual sense, they have lived with Rose for only 6 months a prosecutor told inner London crown court. The duo have been working as immigration officer but were transferred to Lagos when both took up management positions in UK Border immigration. They completely denied being complicit  in unlawful immigration.  Both were alleged to have faked Rose Inah's document with view of bringing her into UK as house help. The prosecutor Riel Karmy -Jones said the motive was a greed one and added that if they had succeeded, Rose Inah would have come to UK to receive 'pittance'
