Richard Lee Norris had Gun Accident in 1997 and his face got shattered. This has resulted to being indoor daily at his Hillsville, Virginia until at night when he goes out. He is now happy that people do not turn to give him a second look after 100 doctors performed  a 36 hour face surgery on him changing his face, Teeth, Tongue and jaw at University of Maryland, United States of America. He can now smell and taste something

When he shot himself in 1997, he shattered his face, lip. tongue, teeth. He has since undergone  several life saving reconstructive  face surgery. The face transplant was led by Dr Eduador Rodriguez, Professor of surgery at University of Mary land school of Medicine and chief of plastic.

 

Before, people used to stare at Richard because he normally wear mask and they want to see his deformity, Dr Eduador said in March. But now,his story has changed as people no longer turn back to him to have second look.
