Barrie  and Tony   Drewitt- Barlow who are the the first British gay parents were rescued  yesterday when their Range Rover ran into a flooded area and the water level was a much as five feet  The couple got married in 2006 and have five children including twins from surrogate

Stranded, the couple were discovered at night by fire and rescue team
It was believed that the couple drove their SUV into the flooded road by mistake. Fire fighters and other rescue workers spent close to an hour to get them out of the flood.

It took nearly an hour and 15 firefighters to get the couple to dry land
