Following the cross border shelling of Turkey by Assad government in which two women and three children lost their lives in Turkish soil, Turkey has fired their missiles back into Syria to sound a note of warning to the authorities in Damascus. Their target include Tall Abyad district about 10km inside Turkish border among other. A Police officer was down when the shelling occurred in the Turkish town of Akcakale on Wednesday.
A Turkish government official stated that the retaliatory attack was just a note of warning and that Turkey is not going into war with Syria. But due to turn of events, UN Security council is meeting based on the Syria's position to take appropriate action against this cross border attack. NATO has equally held an emergency meeting warning Syria to retrace their steps in attacking her ally. Although so many Turkish facilities have been hit by Syrians shelling since the uprising started in Syria to unseat Assad, Wednesday's attack was too mush to be ignored.
